The Paradoxical Commandments

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”

Back to Blogging I go…

Well finally after nearly a year hiatus…I’m back to blogging. I miss the venting and the spreading of knowledge and my opinions. Well technically, I’ve been sharing that kind of love on Facebook. I mean with all the nonsense spreaded there from post to post, I enjoyed shedding light and some ‘good sense’ as I’d call it, on my feed. Thing is, with social media you can try to restrict yourself and for example, allow for 5 to 10 minutes a day on Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, and etc…but more than likely that 5 to 10 minutes will turn to 45 minutes to an hour. I’m not knocking those that are consumed with and whose lives revolve around social media, but for me…it’s a no, it’s a distraction, and it consumes a great amount of time whether you intend for it to or not. I enjoy writing, food, fashion, travel, nature, history, books, family, business, theater, film…I can go on and on. What I realized though is that I’ve been slacking in many of my areas of interest, one of the most important ones being business and working for myself. I imagined having a business with something having to do with fashion and another business in the field of theater. The I thought to myself…’Why Imagine when you can do.’ So for the past 6 months or so I really buckled down and became serious about taking action. I may not have enough money to open up a physical store, but I can open an online store….why not? So with that being thought of and eventually talked about, as of July last year, I applied for a business license and have continued to move forward sense. I am now the proud owner of HIA, Have It All. I’m no stylist…Just a Piece Picker. I’ll stand behind providing Stunning, Stand Out Accessories and Must Haves. As for the theatre side…I have some workshops in the making, I’ll save that for another post! Initially I felt that I should turn my blog into ‘A Fashion and Lifestyle Blog’ but then I thought about it and decided I’m keeping things the way they are. I’m not changing the name or entire content of the blog to fit the store, and I say that with much respect to my store, but rather than change the content of my blog I’ll just add to it. I’m not one to go changing something if it doesn’t need fixing and my stats were pretty darn good here!! I believe I started this blog in 2014, but for some reason….I feel like I’m just getting started!

And for the record, I still don’t have a niche so don’t go looking for one. My spirit is vibrant and ever-changing, it can barely be held by the body it’s in! Do you really think anything else coming from me could be placed in a box?

KANDAKE

Kandake, also known as CANDACE, Kendake or Kentake was the title for queens and queen mothers of the ancient African Kingdom of Kush, also known as Nubia and Ethiopia. They were known as Nubian warrior queens, queen regents, and Ruling queen mothers. They controlled what is now Ethiopia, Sudan, and parts of Egypt.

People with this name tend to be a powerful force to all whose lives they touch. They are capable, charismatic leaders who often undertake large endeavors with great success. They value truth, justice, and discipline, and may be quick-tempered with those who do not. If they fail to develop their potential, they may become impractical and rigid.
